EN FR
Founded in 2021 by Florent Basiletti, Juliette Larochette, and Rosalie Parent, La Kabine is an association committed to supporting emerging creation and providing artistic guidance in the field of contemporary imagery.
Conceived as a platform for experimentation, dissemination, and transmission, La Kabine develops projects that support artists, foster engagement with audiences, and explore the uses and transformations of images today.
Supporting Emerging Creation
At the heart of La Kabine’s mission is the desire to identify, support, and promote emerging artists working with images.
The association implements various formats to support creation:
- Exhibitions and presentations of artistic projects
- Residencies and curatorial support
- Professional meetings and exchange sessions
These initiatives allow artists to develop their research, produce new works, and present their projects in a professional context that remains accessible to the public.
Disseminating and Circulating Images
La Kabine actively participates in the dissemination of contemporary creation by leading and coordinating multiple exhibition and event projects.
The association notably manages and oversees the OFF festivals dedicated to drawing and photography in Arles, supporting artists, curators, and partner venues in developing an open and experimental program.
These events help bring forward new artistic voices while contributing to the cultural vitality of the region.
Cultural Action and Transmission
La Kabine also develops cultural initiatives and arts education projects (EAC) aimed at diverse audiences: school groups, students, enthusiasts, and professionals.
Through workshops, meetings, courses, and mediation programs, the association seeks to raise awareness of contemporary image issues and encourage a critical and creative approach to visual practices.
A Collective Project
Since its creation, La Kabine has followed a collaborative approach, working with artists, cultural institutions, educational structures, and local stakeholders.
By combining creation, dissemination, and transmission, the association builds an open space where images become a field for exploration, reflection, and sharing.
