A little rewind to the crazy creative buzz of 2024!
What an explosion of creativity! From 102 iconic locations to 45,270 visits on the website and 21,000 on the InPhoto app. Two spectacular projection nights and six public talks with 30 incredible guests. Arles was buzzing — and the excitement spread far beyond!

The winner of the 2024 edition is Elsa Beaumont with Le bois de la Daulphine.
En 2020, la communauté achète un ancien hôtel abandonné et isolé sur le Mont Aigoual, à 1560 m d’altitude, afin d’élargir sa capacité d’accueil. Aujourd’hui, sept personnes vivent dans 2 230 m2 répartis sur trois étages, composés d’une soixantaine de chambres. C’est un imposant bloc de béton, isolé sur un flanc de montagne malmené par les vents et les pluies diluviennes.
L'histoire de l’hôtel témoigne des maintes tentatives à faire vivre ce lieu. Au fil des prises de vue et en contraste avec la lourdeur architecturale du bâtiment, j’en viens à éprouver une sensation d’apesanteur, un effet de mirage dans lequel se révèlent progressivement les strates plus ou moins perceptibles d’une accumulation de bouts de vies passées et présentes. Vivre ici, dans les hauteurs, peut s’avérer être une épreuve. Au moment où je photographie, j’ai conscience que les personnes ne vont peut être pas rester.
