AT THE EDGE OF WORLDS

What does it mean to inhabit a place when it is disappearing, changing, burning, running out of water, or becoming a war zone? From the drying shores of the Caspian Sea to the scorched landscapes of California, from the beaches of Gaza to the sacred villages of Burkina Faso, the exhibition offers a sensitive mapping of vulnerable, contested, and transforming spaces, all shaped by forces of memory, resistance, and reinvention.

Through eight photographic and documentary projects from different parts of the world, At the Edge of Worldsbrings together artists who explore contemporary ways of inhabiting the earth, its borders, memories, bodies, and territories made fragile by ecological, political, and social upheavals. Within these landscapes of tension, living and belonging become profound acts of resistance.
