The OFF restarts !

La Kabine, an association dedicated to the development of emerging artistic creation in the field of images, is taking over the reins of the Festival Off d'Arles. Founded in 2021 by three graduates of the ENSP in Arles, its mission is to establish a dialogue between local residents and their region, promote education in images, support artists and organise residencies, encouraging the sharing of resources with other local players.

Following the closure of Voies Off and the various successions, we felt it was crucial that an Arles-based organisation should embody the Off. Our main aim is to showcase local artists, structures, proposals and institutions alongside international offerings. It's a challenge to gather forces, funding and partnerships for this first edition, but we believe in it and we're doing everything we can to contribute to it. Our visual identity has been drawn up, and the Off will take the form of a parenthesis, designating the festival as a productive parenthesis in our annual activities in the Greater Arles area.

Our first objective will be to bring together all the proposals and events on communication media such as a paper catalogue, a digital complement and media partners. We're also looking to create more areas where people can meet, get to know each other and share ideas, just as they did at the start of the festival. The Off must embody this federation and the associated festivities. We're committed to supporting artists and photographers, and we're delighted to be introducing photographic support with the Saif x La Kabine Revelation Award.

As part of this first edition, we're taking over the whole city through its galleries and various venues, such as the Archbishop's Palace, with the confidence of the city of Arles. In collaboration with Fisheye, we'll be highlighting evenings dedicated to photojournalism and emerging art, as well as discussions on the ecology of artists and culture.

La Kabine is committed, drawing up ethical charters and proposing actions, but it is also looking for volunteers, sponsors and contributors. We're delighted to be sharing this collaborative project with you all. We look forward to welcoming you to this first edition!
