Ismail Abu Hatab documents the daily lives of displaced families in Gaza, living in makeshift tents between the sea and ongoing bombardments.
Through this series, the Palestinian photographer shows how, despite the war, children continue to play and residents continue to resist erasure and silence. A filmmaker, photographer, and committed educator, Ismail Abu Hatab was working on this project when he was killed on 30 June 2025 during an Israeli airstrike in Gaza.
