In My Flesh, a Country explores what it means to “belong” beyond borders, in a world shaped by colonisation, métissage, and diasporas.
Faced with the disappearance of ancestors and places of origin, the project envisions a living, ever-moving sense of “home,” woven through relationships between bodies, nature, and time. Natural elements—trees, mist, mushrooms, water—become mediators between the visible and the invisible, inviting us to rethink roots and memory as a fluid, resilient network.
The body itself becomes a porous dwelling, a space for transmission and the reinvention of buried narratives.
